Ann Coulter mocks J.D. Vance over Trump’s dislike of facial hair: 'Beards are good for some people'

Presumptive 2024 GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump has reportedly narrowed down his short list of possible running mates to Sen. J.D. Vance (R-Ohio), Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Florida) and North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum.

Vance is the most overtly MAGA of those three, often echoing Trump's America First rhetoric. But according to the conservative website The Bulwark, Vance may have a major obstacle to being chosen as Trump's running mate: his beard.

Trump, The Bulwark reported, has a major aversion to facial hair.

Author and right-wing firebrand Ann Coulter humorously weighed in a July 11 post on X, formerly Twitter.

Posting a photo of Vance taken before he grew a beard, Coulter wrote, "And look at him WITHOUT the beard. Burqas and beards are good for some people."

Many X users, in response to Coulter's tweet, argued that the 39-year-old Vance looks younger without his beard — perhaps too young.

On X, Republican Voters Against Trump posted clips of Vance, Rubio and Burgum saying negative things about Trump in the past and showed how badly Vance has flip flopped.

Vance is now an aggressive defender of Trump. But in an old clip, a pre-beard Vance said, "I'm a Never Trump guy. I never liked him."
