Frontpage news and politics

Professional wrestler Adam Page has called out the appearance of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) advertisements during a recent episode of All Elite Wrestling (AEW) Dynamite, urging fans to voice their disapproval.

During the Wednesday broadcast on TBS, viewers noticed ICE-related commercials airing frequently throughout the show.

Page took to the social platform Bluesky shortly after the episode, writing, “F—— ice airing commercials during dynamite, let em know.”

He also included links directing fans to file complaints with TBS and HBO Max, which air AEW programming.

Newsweek noted in a report published Thursday that the placement of ICE ads has sparked backlash, especially among AEW’s more progressive audience.

The federal agency has long been a point of controversy, particularly amid the Trump administration’s aggressive immigration policies. Critics say the ads clash with the values many fans associate with AEW’s more open and expressive culture.

The report noted that AEW does not have control over what ads appear during its broadcasts. Advertising decisions are handled by the networks — TBS, HBO Max, and their parent company, Warner Bros. Discovery.

This isn't the first time AEW talent has taken a public stance on immigration issues. Wrestler Brody King wore an “Abolish ICE” shirt during AEW’s Grand Slam event in June, further highlighting the divide between some wrestlers’ views and the government agency.

AEW President Tony Khan has previously stated that the company supports its wrestlers' right to express personal opinions, including political ones.
