Like now-President Joe Biden in 2020, Vice President Kamala Harris has been picking up endorsements from some major conservatives — including former Vice President Dick Cheney, former Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyoming), retired Judge J. Michael Luttig, former Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-Illinois) and former U.S. Attorney General Alberto Gonzales. Harris is also getting conservative support from ex-Trump Administration officials who include former White House Press Secretary Stephanie Grisham, Olivia Troye (a former Mike Pence aide) and former White House Communications Director Anthony Scaramucci.

Harris and Scaramucci, according to CNBC, have been discussing economic ideas — including ideas for cryptocurrencies.

At a recent cryptocurrency event, Scaramucci — founder of the firm SkyBridge Capital — said he has been telling Harris why he disagrees with Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Massachusetts) and U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Chairman Gary Gensler on the merits of cryptocurrencies.

Warren and Gensler, CNBC's Dylan Butts notes, "are widely seen as foes of the crypto industry, having backed regulations and crackdowns on the space."

Scaramucci told attendees that he has been encouraging Harris to embrace cryptocurrency-friendly policies.

“I believe that we are making progress, and I think it's going in the right direction,” Scaramucci told attendees.

The former White House communications director also said that "a group of cryptocurrency advocates, Bitcoin advocates, etc." have been "working alongside her to distance the Democratic Party away from Elizabeth Warren" and Gensler on cryptocurrency policy.
