Harris campaign takes steps to 'break through' to new demographic

Vice President Kamala Harris' campaign is turning its attention to a new group of voters: Fox News viewers.
Although "a historic realignment of working-class voters helped Trump defy the odds and win in 2016, and brought him to within a hair of reelection in 2020," Politico noted last year, CNN's Harry Enten reported earlier this week that more and more working class voters in the battleground states of Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania, are turning against Donald Trump.
Axios reported Thursday that Harris' campaign this week "began running four spots" on Fox News — a network many MAGA supporters and conservative viewers watch.

"It is precisely through efforts like this that we will break through a crowded media environment early and make clear the choice and stakes of this election for the voters who will decide it," principal deputy campaign manager Quentin Fulks told the news outlet.
Per the report, "The vast majority of the ads are about Harris as the Trump team tries to blunt her momentum and the Harris team is attempting to keep it going, according to an Axios review."
Newsweek reported that the former president "wrote on Truth Social that he would debate Harris on Fox News on September 4, with another debate scheduled for September 10 on ABC."
However, "a Harris campaign aide told Newsweek in an email: 'We're pleased Trump finally agreed to debate the vice president on ABC after previously trying to back out. We are open to another debate, and we'll continue those conversations. But to be clear, any additional debate would be subject to Trump actually showing up on September 10. We're not playing his games.'"
