Haley blasts Trump during NH appearance: 'If he’s gonna lie about me, I’m gonna tell you the truth about him'

Although former UN ambassador Nikki Haley confirmed that she plans to pardon former President Donald Trump if she's elected in November, the ex-South Carolina governor has now publicly criticized the MAGA hopeful after months of refusing to do so.
According to The Daily Beast, in response to the Trump campaign's recent "High Tax Haley" television ad, Haley took a jab at her opponent's economic policy record during a New Hampshire appearance Tuesday, saying, "[The economy] was great, but at what cost?"
"Our kids will never forgive us" for letting the country fall into over $8 trillion in debt, she added. "You don't go and pretend to have a good economy by putting us in debt."
POLL: Should Trump be allowed to hold office again?
Several prominent Republicans — especially GOP candidate and former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie — have called out Haley and other fellow GOP hopefuls, Ron DeSantis and Viviek Ramaswamy, for their refusal to criticize Trump for months.
The former governor added, "I see the commercials that you see, and I’ve noticed that President Trump is giving me some attention, and I appreciate that, because that means he sees what we’re seeing, but in his commercials and in his temper tantrums, every single thing that he’s said has been a lie."
She emphasized, "So if he’s gonna lie about me, I’m gonna tell you the truth about him."
