Julia Fox’s brother faces weapons and drug charges following NYPD raid in 'ghost gun' investigation

On Wednesday, March 8, New York City police officers raided a luxury co-op on Manhattan's Upper East Side in connection with an investigation of ghost guns. And during the raid, the New York Times reports, they arrested Christopher Fox — the younger brother of actress/model Julia Fox.
Ghost guns are unregistered firearms that are often put together at home using parts purchased online — not professionally assembled by legal gun manufacturers. They lack serial numbers, and unlike legal gun purchases, they bypass official background checks.
The 30-year-old Christopher Fox, according to New York Times reporter Christine Chung, was arrested 'on a litany of drug and weapons charges, including the manufacture of a machine gun, the police said." Julia Fox's brother lives in Yorkville, an upscale Upper East Side neighborhood.

Chung reports that 33-year-old Julia Fox "had no known connection with the raid, although she grew up in Yorkville and apparently once lived at the address."
According to New York City's Channel 4 News (an NBC affiliate), "Prosecutors said that the 30-year-old (Christopher) Fox had bought at least 190 items relating to ghost guns between March 2018 and December 2022, totaling more than $7600. All of the items described by prosecutors were in the New York City apartment at the time of the raid."
Channel 4 News reports that Christopher Fox, according to the Manhattan District Attorney's Office, was arraigned on Thursday, March 9, and bail was set at $450,000. His next scheduled court appearance is set for this Monday, March 13.
