A Republican Senate candidate said in a recent interview that "educated" women “have become too mouthy" and won't make "good wives," the progressive watchdog Media Matters for America reports, according to The Daily Beast.

Appearing on Far-right Christian preacher Jesse Lee Peterson’s The Fallen State radio show on November 1, the Beast reports that Peterson said he tells men "not to marry women who are educated, because educated women do not make for good wives and mothers."

The host then asked White whether or not he agrees with that statement.

"That educated women don’t make for good wives and mothers?" the GOP candidate asked. "You mean in the traditional sense, like educated in school?"

"Yeah because, you know, if you go to the church, then that’s a form of education as well," White continued, after Peterson clarified the question.

The right-wing radio host disagreed with the GOP hopeful on that statement. "You shouldn’t marry one of those, either," Peterson said.

White replied, "I actually say women who are educated in scripture are probably healthy, healthy wives, that they have a real education in scripture."

Per the Beast, "Peterson, who—as of 2020, at least—has never been married, insisted: 'No, women who are educated with the Bible are some of the worst wives.'"

Media Matters notes, "White is a podcaster and regular guest (and recent guest host) on Sandy Hook conspiracy theorist Alex Jones’ show. Jones and former Trump adviser Steve Bannon have both backed White’s campaign. White has a history of making extremist remarks, including hurling an anti-LGBTQ slur, pushing 9/11 conspiracy theories, and attacking women."
