'Even Laura Loomer thinks it's ridiculous!' George Conway rips 'pathological' Trump
President Donald Trump is drawing a great deal of criticism from Democrats for accepting a gift from the government of Qatar: a $400 million jet being given to the U.S. Department of Defense and the U.S. Air Force.
Trump's GOP allies, including House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) and House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-Kentucky), are insisting that there is nothing wrong with the president accepting the gift — while Democrats are attacking the gift as wildly inappropriate.
But not everyone on the right believes that accepting a plane from the Qatar royal family is OK.

During a Saturday morning, May 17 appearance on MSNBC's "The Weekend," conservative attorney George Conway was vehemently critical of Trump for accepting the gift.
Conway told a panel that included hosts Jonathan Capehart and Eugene Daniels, Georgetown University law professor Michele Goodwin and Voto Latino President MarÃa Teresa Kumar, "The Constitution is clear: You can't take stuff from a foreign government or a foreign emir, so to speak. And you know, it's just illegal. Congress can give you permission to do it, but Congress hasn't done that."
Daniels noted that Trump's allies are defending the gift from Qatar by saying the plane is "for the DOD" and "not for him," but Conway dismissed that argument as weak.
The Never Trump conservative commented, "The problem is the accountability. Absolutely. How do you enforce that? You know, it's plainly illegal. Even Laura Loomer thinks it's ridiculous."

The gift from Qatar, Conway argued, shows how self-involved Trump is.
The Never Trump conservative told the panel, "He legitimately only cares about himself. That's why this was all about deals. That's why it was all about pomp and pomp and circumstance — Oh, look at the great marble, and look at all the soldiers genuflecting to me. You know, he's a pathological narcissist, and it's all about him, and getting stuff and being fetted."
