'T.I.N.A in action': Fox News panelist blasted after claiming Trump 'can be president from jail'

A Fox News panelist's comments in support of the idea of Donald Trump potentially serving as president of the United States from a jail cell resulted in backlash across social media Monday.
"What happens if he's indicted at some point?" a Fox News host asked panelists.
Dr. Janette Nesheiwat — a family and emergency medicine doctor — replied, "He can be president from jail if he has to. I think despite all of the threats, despite all of the charges, Republicans are still rallying around Donald Trump."
POLL: Should Trump be allowed to hold office again?
Prominent GOP leaders — including Republicans who worked under Trump's presidency — such as ex-Attorney General Bill Barr, former House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH), ex-US Representative Liz Cheney (R-WY), and GOP candidate Chris Christie, all publicly oppose the MAGA hopeful and urge Republican voters to move on to another candidate.
Several journalists and experts mocked the analyst via social media following her comment.
Former MSNBC host Mehdi Hasan wrote, "It. Is. A. Cult."
The Husker Corner lead editor Oliver VanDervoort replied to Hasan's statement by taking aim at the interviewer's question, writing, "@mehdirhasan Also...he's been indicted? They mean convicted."
KTLA columnist David Lazarus said, "What moral bankruptcy looks like."

NYU professor and MSNBC analyst Ruth Ben-Ghiat added, "T.I.N.A. in action. (There Is No Alternative to Leader, so we must support him no matter what. TINA was big under Berlusconi and Erdogan has his version too."
