During the 1980s, countless media reports described the invasion of Afghanistan as "the Soviet Union's Vietnam." Now, with the war in Ukraine dragging on, that invasion is being likened to the Vietnam War as well.

Ukraine has received a lot more support than Russian President Vladimir Putin bargained for, including volunteers from the United States. One of the more unlikely volunteers, according to the Daily Beast, is Fan-Pei Koung, a 33-year-old OnlyFans performer from Houston who is now renting an apartment in Kharkiv.

The Beast's Anna Conkling reports that Koung describes herself as an "emotional support stripper" and has made her OnlyFans account "free for Ukrainian soldiers, volunteers, and the occasional local civilian who she thinks could use some cheering up."

During a late July interview, Koung told the Daily Beast that countless people tried to dissuade her from going to war-torn Ukraine.

Koung recalled, "Everyone was telling me, 'Don't go, don't go.' When you're a foreigner here, everyone who cares about you at all will say anything to change your mind."

The OnlyTimes performer also told the Daily Beast, "I've lost about 5000 followers since this whole Ukraine thing. Because I went from being a sexy influencer to a sexy influencer who won't stop talking about Ukraine."
