President Donald Trump‘s eldest son Donald Trump Jr. told a panel moderator in Qatar that he is toying with the possibility of running for president.

“So, the answer is: ‘I don’t know, maybe one day.’ You know, that calling is there. I’ll always be very active in terms of being a vocal proponent of these things,” he said, speaking at a Qatar Economic Forum on Wednesday.

Trump, Jr. is known for making news with right-wing talking points. He reacted to former president Joe Biden’s likely fatal cancer diagnosis over the weekend to stir conspiracy theories, demanding “What I want to know is how did Dr. Jill Biden miss stage five metastatic cancer or is this yet another coverup???” on X.

He then met the subsequent backlash claiming humor.

"I sometimes forget that part of the mental disorder of leftism is an inability to understand sarcasm," he wrote on X on Monday. "So for the confused libs out there, I'm well aware that Jill Biden is a fake doctor, not a real one … Unlike the Dems who were calling for her to be Surgeon General in 2020."

In Qatar, Trump Jr. intimated that the Republican Party had evolved to favor his candidacy.

“I think my father has truly changed the Republican Party. … It’s an honor to be asked and an honor to see that some people are OK with it.”

He inserted some self-effacing in the statement, however, joking that that audience members applauding the idea were merely “the couple of people we know”.
