'Nothing to worry about': Brutal Fox News parody 'Foxsplains' Trump tariffs

When President Donald Trump's tariffs were causing the stock market to plummet and JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon was saying that a recession was "likely," many far-right pundits at Fox News and Fox Business defended Trump vigorously and urged their viewers not to worry.
"Daily Show" host Desi Lydic, in response, brutally mocked those pundits and their reflexive defense of Trump's economic policies in a parody video aired on Friday night, April 11.
Portraying an overwrought Fox News or Fox Business host, the liberal comedian told viewers, "Radical-left lunatics like Ilhan Omar and most Americans are worried about their money. Well, here's the message: chill out."

Lydic continued, "There's nothing to worry about. It's a stock market crash. It's not a trans person trying to play in the women's division of a Scrabble tournament. Do not panic! Because look, Donald Trump has both hands on the wheel, and he is steering us into a glorious future of unimaginable riches."
Lydic, during her parody, lampooned Fox hosts like Laura Ingraham and Jeanine Pirro and their "promises made, promises kept rhetoric."
Lydic told viewers, "We all remember Donald Trump's campaign. He pledged to destroy your 401ks on Day 1. Promises made, promises kept…. Trump is cooking up something delicious…. Because remember why Trump got elected in the first place: to stop Haitian immigrants from eating dogs in Ohio."
