'Pathetic': Dem reps blast Comer for sending fundraising email after 'Biden investigation collapsed'

In November, House Republicans filed a report with the Federal Election Committee marking their "third-lowest fundraising month."
Nearly three months later, House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) — who has spent the last few months attempting to impeach President Joe Biden — recently sent out an email asking for financial contributions.
US Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA) shared a screenshot via X (formerly Twitter) of the email from Comer, with the the subject line: "We've hit a brick wall."
The Kentucky lawmaker's email read, "We have a major problem ... our January fundraising has hit a brick wall!!"

In response, Swalwell wrote, "No shit. How pathetic is this guy? His Biden investigation has collapsed and now he’s coming to me for money! Sorry, Comer Pyle!"
US Rep. Jared Moskowitz (D-FL) replied to Swalwell's tweet, writing, "Now Eric, I’m sure there is a reasonable explanation, like Comer is probably just raising money to help pay for Trumps Legal fees. Alina Habba looks expensive."
