FBI agent fired for refusing Trump’s request to 'perp-walk' Comey: reports

Many of the legal analysts on MSNBC — including former FBI General Counsel Andrew Weissmann and ex-federal prosecutors Joyce White Vance and Barbara McQuade — are characterizing the federal indictment of former FBI Director James Comey as a very weak case and an exercise in revenge on the part of President Donald Trump.
According to Mediaite reporter Tommy Christopher, Trump was hoping to give Comey a "perp walk" and fired an FBI agent for refusing to go along with it.
In an article published on October 4, Chrisopher explains, "It has been two weeks since Comey was indicted after Trump publicly pressured Attorney General Pam Bondi to go after a list of enemies in a DM-style Truth Social post and again in remarks to reporters. Comey is set to surrender voluntarily, but in a new development that wasn't always the plan."
The Mediaite reporter adds, "The FBI is mulling a photo-op for the arrest — but some agents aren't going a long and one has paid a price for it."
Christopher cites MSNBC's Jonathan Capehart as one of the journalists who has confirmed Trump's desire to humiliate Comey by giving him a "perp walk."
Capehart, on MSNBC's "The Weekend," reported, "As former FBI Director James Comey prepares for his arraignment in a federal courthouse later next week, there is more fallout from that indictment within the DOJ rank and file. MSNBC has confirmed that an FBI agent in the Washington field office has been fired for refusing to arrest and perp-walk Comey."
