'Didn’t you support the boycott against them?' DeSantis stumped by Megyn Kelly’s Bud Light question

During the latest episode of The Megyn Kelly Show with conservative host Megyn Kelly, 2024 Republican hopeful and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis struggled to answer questions regarding one of his latest feuds.
As DeSantis' legal battle with Disney continues over the entertainment giant's vocal opposition to his "Don't Say Gay" law, the GOP leader is also publicly feuding with Anheuser-Busch (AB) InBev — which owns Bud Light — over the company's March Madness partnership with transgender influencer, Dylan Mulvaney.
"Much of the base is angry as most of these woke corporations, and I get it," Kelly said to the GOP hopeful. "And I know you get it. Aren't you doing the very thing to these companies that conservatives are mad at left-wing leaders for doing. Using government to punish citizens for political wrong-think?"

DeSantis replied, "No, not at all. So take Anheuser-Busch. I mean, we're not punishing them. They departed from business practices by indulging in social activism. That has caused a hug problem for their company. And their stock price has gone down. Well our pension fund in Florida holds Anheuser-Busch InBev stock. So it's actually hurt teachers, it's hurt cops, it hurts firefighters who depend on that pension fund."
Kelly then asked, "Didn't you support the boycott against them?"
The governor answered, "No, I did. But that's just as a personal thing. But I mean we didn't have the state government necessarily putting power about it. But as an American I said I'm not doing Bud Light."
Newsweek reports in a recent Fox News interview with host Jesse Watters, the Republican candidate "compared" his "against Bud Light to his political fight against Disney."

DeSantis said, "We talk about woke corporations and a lot of times we focus on, understandably, how they're trying to change society, get involved in politics, and we fight back against that."
Additionally, the news outlet reports, "According to MarketWatch, the Florida State Board of Administration's (SBA) latest Securities and Exchange Commission filings showed no record of the pension plan holding AB InBev stock at the end of the first quarter or during the fourth quarter of 2022."
According to NBC, Anheuser-Busch Chief Executive Officer Brendan Whitworth said last month the company "will continue to support the LGBTQ community despite backlash" over its partnership with Mulvaney.
