President Donald Trump's feud with Tesla/SpaceX/X.com leader Elon Musk took an ugly turn when Musk, referring to the late convicted sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein, tweeted, "Time to drop the really big bomb: @realDonaldTrump is in the Epstein files. That is the real reason they have not been made public. Have a nice day, DJT!"
But Trump's former personal attorney and fixer Michael Cohen, now a scathing critic of the president, pushed back against that claim during an MSNBC appearance — stressing that if such a Trump/Epstein connection really existed, he would have known about it.
Conspiracy theories involving Epstein, however, persist. And they are being promoted by one of the internet's top far-right conspiracy theorists: Infowars host Alex Jones.

During a video posted on Monday, July 7, Jones responded to a Trump Administration memo saying that a "systematic review revealed no incriminating" Epstein-related "client list."
In his video, Jones ranted, "The reason that you are seeing this deep-sixed is because the CIA, with the Mossad and MI6, was running Epstein, and it was an official U.S. government operation, multinational. So, this is the swamp winning. The question is: Is Trump's DOJ actually using this to control the deep state, or are they just so overwhelmed by it they are tapping out?.... All points towards this being used to blackmail the deep state."
Jones claimed that the connection between Epstein and "the deep state" could "bring down the CIA" if it ever came to light.
"I mean, it's just — it's beyond insane," Jones said in his video. "You couldn't try to hurt yourself worse. You couldn't try to discredit the FBI worse than what they've done. (U.S. Attorney General) Pam Bondi, all of it. All those videos are saying, 'Yeah, she's seen the videos, it's all coming out.' And then, now it doesn’t exist? I mean, what!? What!? What!? D-----!"

Jones defended Musk's comments on Epstein, saying, "I think clearly this is what (Elon) Musk learned about a few months ago, and it looked like he aged 10 years overnight, looked completely freaked out. And then I think the conscience had to come out and say what he said."
