Reactions explode as Nikki Haley ends 2024 campaign
Former President Donald Trump took another major step toward securing the 2024 GOP presidential nomination when he won a long list of states on Super Tuesday. And the following morning, CNN's Kasie Hunt, MSNBC and Newsweek all reported that former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley — the only other Republican left in the primary — would be dropping out of the race.
The news of Haley ending her presidential campaign is receiving an abundance of reactions on X, formerly Twitter.
Simon Ateba of Today News Africa tweeted video of Jason Miller, Trump's campaign manager, telling far-right Newsmax, "This is much bigger than Nikki Haley. This is about beating Joe Biden in the fall."

Robbie Scowls of Progressive Alliance, a self-described "ex-Tory," posted, "Now the Republicans will definitely lose. So there’s that.
Sky News' Beth Rigby tweeted that a "Biden-Trump rematch looks certain after pair dominate Super Tues."
X user Candice Holmes sarcastically posted, "Oh, what a riveting choice! A #Biden-#Trump rematch – because who doesn't want a sequel to that nail-biting saga? I'm sure Britons are on the edge of their seats, eagerly awaiting the drama across the pond."
Reporter Craig Melvin, however, tweeted that Haley "will not immediately endorse @realDonaldTrump" and "wants former president to reach out more to those who feel left out of modern @GOP."

Progressive activist Susan K. Smith commented, "Why would she endorse (Trump) at all? She would have been no better than him as president."
NBC News' Ryan J. Reilly noted that by ending her campaign, Haley is "handing GOP nomination to Trump."
Progressive journalist Victoria Brownworth noted, "The former UN ambassador had always said she would decide her way forward after #SuperTuesday. Haley is the first GOP woman to win a primary in both DC and Vermont."
Liberal activist Steve Paul predicted that Haley would cave in to Trump, lamenting, "Next, Haley will announce her full support for tRump and try to be his VP."
