Tucker Carlson and Tulsi Gabbard are superstars on Russian state television

Fox News propagandist Tucker Carlson along with former Hawaii Congresswoman and 2020 Democratic presidential candidate Tulsi Gabbard’s overt, unapologetic groveling on behalf of Russian President Vladimir Putin has caught the attention of Kremlin-sponsored state television.
In the days since Putin launched his illegal invasion of Ukraine, Moscow’s media manipulation machine has been broadcasting clips of Carlson and Gabbard defending Putin’s aggression and undermining diplomatic peace efforts by President Joe Biden and European allies of the United States.
Putin's desire to reincorporate Ukraine into Russia is a key part of his lifelong agenda of reestablishing the borders of the now-defunct Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR). And this was known to the world long before Biden was elected president.
“At least four times this week, Russian news reports have featured translated clips of Tucker Carlson or his guest Tulsi Gabbard, a former Democratic U.S. representative, attacking the Biden administration,” The Intercept’s Robert Mackey explained in an extensive analysis on Friday.
For example, “one report broadcast on Russian television’s main channel Sunday did more than just quote Carlson: It developed and sharpened a political attack on a prominent Democratic senator that Carlson had just hinted at,” wrote Mackey.
Carlson called American officials who promoted giving military aid to Ukraine as “ghoulish” and then parroted Putin’s false claims that Ukraine is not a real country.
“Ukraine is not a democracy. It has never been a democracy in its history, and it’s not now,” said Carlson. “It’s a client state of the Biden Administration.”
Carlson also denied warnings from Secretary of State Antony Blinken that Russia would stage false-flag attacks to justify sending troops into Ukraine.
Watch the clip below:
On Sunday, Russian state TV translated this Tucker Carlson rant: "They're promoting war, not to maintain the democracy that is Ukraine. Ukraine is not a democracy. It has never been a democracy in its history and it's not now. It is a client state of the Biden administration."pic.twitter.com/36fziEks90— Robert Mackey (@Robert Mackey) 1645740249
This was but one of many instances in which Putin's mouthpieces borrowed Carlson's remarks to sell their imperialist plans to the Russian public.
'An hour later, the evening news program on Russia’s main state television channel used a longer excerpt from the same Carlson monologue and shaped its own report to amplify the Fox News host’s attack on a Democrat. In the original Fox News broadcast, Carlson had suggested that Sen. Richard Blumenthal [D-Connecticut], a member of the Senate Armed Services Committee who worked to arm Ukraine with Javelin anti-tank missiles, was only doing so because of donations from American defense contractors like Raytheon," Mackey found.
“So that guy, who lied about his own war service, is pretty excited at the thought of Ukrainians fighting and dying in the streets,” Carlson proclaimed.

This continued throughout the week. On Wednesday, Russia Today – whose servers hacker group Anonymous knocked out on Thursday – aired clips from Carlon's Tuesday evening show in which he encouraged his viewers to love Putin.
“Democrats in Washington have told you it’s your patriotic duty to hate Vladimir Putin. It’s not a suggestion. It’s a mandate. Anything less than hatred for Putin is treason. Many Americans have obeyed this directive. They now dutifully hate Vladimir Putin. Maybe you’re one of them," said Carlson. "Hating Putin has become the central purpose of America’s foreign policy. It’s the main thing that we talk about. Entire cable channels are now devoted to it. Very soon, that hatred of Vladimir Putin could bring the United States into a conflict in Eastern Europe.”

Within hours, the Fox clip was on Russian state TV's evening news broadcast, used to suggest US opposition to Russia's attack on Ukraine is irrational.pic.twitter.com/lGzp7PZhaK— Robert Mackey (@Robert Mackey) 1645743799
RT then aired another blurb from Tuesday's edition of Tucker Carlson Tonight featuring Gabbard insisting that "these sanctions don’t work. What we do know is that they will increase suffering and hardship for the American people. And this is the whole problem with the Biden administration: They are so focused on how do we punish Putin that they don’t care and are not focused on what is actually in the best interests of the American people.”
Biden warned Putin for weeks that any incursion into Ukraine would result in unprecedented sanctions. Biden followed through on that commitment on Thursday after Putin's assaults commenced.

Even more disturbing was a video message that Gabbard posted to Twitter early Thursday morning in which she regurgitated Putin's warning to the West that any attempts to stop his annexation of Ukraine would result in a nuclear war.
Biden/Harris tell us we must bear the cost to defend freedom in Ukraine. But while you & your family struggle w/ higher prices, the Power Elite won’t suffer at all. And if the conflict goes nuclear they’ll be safe in bunkers while you, I, & our loved ones are left without shelterpic.twitter.com/75abm9rY35— Tulsi Gabbard 🌺 (@Tulsi Gabbard 🌺) 1645698600
Gabbard made yet another appearance on Tucker Carlson Tonight on Thursday night. The ex-lawmaker blamed Putin's attack on Ukraine on the US and North Atlantic Treaty Organization's refusal to capitulate to the Russian dictator's demand that Ukraine should never be permitted to join the alliance.
Tulsi: I do not in any way support Putin’s decision to go into Ukraine… If President Biden and NATO had done what you were just talking about in agreeing we’re going to take NATO off the table for Ukraine… this situation could’ve been prevented…pic.twitter.com/espPertdud— Acyn (@Acyn) 1645752757
