Kmart and Sears Drop Trump Home Line of Products from Websites
Kmart and Sears have joined the parade of retailers and celebrities cutting their ties with the Trump family brand in recent weeks.
Business Insider reported that the two companies are no longer offering items from the Trump Home collection on their websites.
“As part of the company’s initiative to optimize its online product assortment, we constantly refine that assortment to focus on our most profitable items,” a Sears Holdings spokesperson said to Business Insider. “Amid that streamlining effort, 31 Trump Home items were among the items removed online this week. Products from the line are still offered online via third-party Marketplace vendors.”
Shannon Coulter — a co-founder of the #GrabYourWallet movement to boycott Trump’s companies — said on Friday that early in the week, Sears and Kmart were offering Trump Home products, but now they have disappeared from the companies’ websites.
“Brand new. On 2/7, Sears still had 19 Trump products. Note: it may still carry in brick and mortar locations. Will see if stmt. forthcoming,” Coulter wrote on Twitter.

Business Insider said that neither company ever carried Trump Home items in their brick and mortar stores.
Retail companies have been distancing themselves from Trump family companies over the last few weeks. Nordstrom decided against carrying Ivanka Trump’s fashion line in 2017, but the decision, the company said, was based on sales, which fell sharply in the fourth quarter.
Pres. Trump attacked Nordstrom on Twitter for dropping the collection and senior White House aide Kellyanne Conway stepped into murky ethical territory by urging people to “buy Ivanka’s stuff” in a TV interview.
Amazon.com still offers a few Trump Home items, including an oversized cotton throw in “snow white” for $33.99.
