Watch Samantha Bee Try and Fail to Reason With Actual Donald Trump Supporters

Election '16

“Full Frontal” host Samantha Bee last night devoted an entire segment to Trump supporters, or, as she collectively referred to them, “this weekend’s tasting menu of ‘roid rage.”

Bee sat down with a polished group of multiethnic, millennial Trump supporters who seemed, on paper, to defy every white male stereotype of the GOP front-runner’s fanbase. (“No one was even escorting the gay black guy out.”)

She did, however, manage to incite some backlash when she mentioned Trump’s proposed Muslim ban. “Temporarily!” one shouted in clarification amid cross-talk. “It’s about security, not religion,” another explained.

On the topic of media bias, Bee asked if they could “acknowledge that it is literally impossible for the media to ignore a person when they say that they would punch a protester in the face.”

“It’s a context thing,” said the gay black guy. Bee then rolled the clip of Trump, totally in context, saying “I’d like to punch him in the face.”

“I think if you get enough people together, eventually someone’s gonna punch someone else in the face,” said another supporter whose refusal to wear a tie was but a minor offense on his rap sheet of giving millennials a bad name. “I think you’re kind of a trickle-down media whore,” he told Bee.

“So in the big bukkake of media,” Bee replied, “I’m the one at the bottom of the fuck pile?”

“I think that’s an accurate assessment,” quoth the business-casual millennial.

Bee then hosted a party — complete with hors d’oeuvres, gift bags, on-site masseuse, Trump Champagne pyramid, “plus we have this fact-checker here, don’t worry about him” — for her interviewees that left her asking “how do you fact-check bluster?” and her fact-checker hyperventilating.
