On Monday, Michelle Obama delivered an incredibly powerful speech to close out the first night of the Democratic National Convention. She talked about America’s place in the world today compared to four years ago, she talked about how white supremacists have been empowered in the age of Trump, she talked about systemic racism, and most importantly, she talked about the ongoing efforts to suppress the vote, and that we must be ready to fight to elect Joe Biden:
In recent days, Democratic Speaker of the House Nancy Pelsoi has suggested that if Donald Trump has any proof that he’s innocent of extortion and bribery, he should feel free to testify at the House impeachment inquiry. On Monday morning, Trump pretended he would “strongly consider” doing just that. Well, in writing:
Federal appeals court rejects Trump's immunity claim — orders tax returns turned over to grand jury
It will be appealed, but another loss for little Don:
Trump spends morning dismissing war crimes, attacking critics and plugging Sean Spicer on Dancing With The Stars
With the genocide of the United States’ longtime Kurdish allies well underway, and as the impeachment inquiry into his alleged quid pro quo offer to Ukraine chugging along, Donald Trump had a busy Monday morning, tweeting away in defense of his crimes (against both humanity and the law).
On Sunday night, Donald Trump tweeted out a call for civil war should he be removed from office, and it didn’t take long for the Oath Keepers, a radical anti-government group that was formed “in the direct aftermath of the election of the nation’s first black president,” to answer that call:
Bombshell report says Trump told Russian officials he was 'unconcerned' about Moscow's election interference
On Friday evening, The Washington Post is reporting that:
It’s been a busy 24 hours in the ongoing story of Donald Trump pressuring Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to investigate Trump’s political rival Joe Biden in exchange for military and financial aid. First, there was Trump himself admitting it. Then there were Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and Secretary of the Treasury Steve Mnuchin hitting the Sunday talk show circuit to defend Trump, even if he did do it because Joe Biden is probably a crook. And of course Fox News was cranking up its own conspiracy theories in the service of Dear Leader, while the rest of the media explained why this is bad news for Joe Biden. And then there was Trump claiming that he was "considering" releasing the transcript of his extortion call. Uh huh.
You really can’t make this stuff up. A Trump cultist, armed with a “pointed or bladed” weapon, decided that the best way to defend the dignity of Donald Trump was to stab a balloon in the ass.

Whenever you see the name Kellyanne Conway trending at the top of Twitter, you know one of two things have happened: Either there was another massacre at Bowling Green, or she’s been on television peddling an utter load of codswallop in defense of her boss. The good news here is, the people of Bowling Green will live to see another day:
