Republican Arkansas AG voices support for Texas lawsuit challenging election results in 4 battleground states

Ken Paxton, Republican Texas attorney general under Gov. Greg Abbott, has filed a lawsuit asking the U.S. Supreme Court to throw out the 2020 presidential election results in four battleground states that President-elect Joe Biden won: Michigan, Pennsylvania, Georgia and Wisconsin. And another Republican state attorney general, Arkansas' Leslie Rutledge, is voicing her support for Paxton's lawsuit.

The Arkansas attorney general, in an official statement released this week, announced, "Arkansans and Americans across the country have real concerns about the lack of integrity in our federal elections this year. After reviewing the motion filed by Texas in the U.S. Supreme Court, I have determined that I will support the motion by the State of Texas in all legally appropriate manners. The integrity of our elections is a critical part of our nation and it must be upheld."

No evidence of widespread voter fraud has been found, and numerous lawsuits from Trump's campaign and its Republican allies have been rejected or outright dismissed by the courts. On December 8, the U.S. Supreme Court unanimously refused to even consider a Pennsylvania-related election lawsuit.
