Trump CFO's ex-daughter-in-law faces 'threat' after speaking out about him 'hiding money in escrow'

Jennifer Weisselberg, the former daughter-in-law of Trump Organization chief financial officer Allen Weisselberg, has revealed she is facing threats as a result of speaking out amid federal investigations into the former president's businesses.

On Thursday, May 27, Jennifer Weisselberg appeared on CNN's "New Day" where she recalled being served and evicted from her apartment for speaking out about the highly publicized investigation. "Yesterday I was served to leave my apartment within the next seven days," she said.

"It's a threat," Weisselberg said, adding that the threat was initiated because she had spoken publicly about "how I know he's hiding money in escrow ... there's definitely tax fraud."

She added, "They're kicking me out... because I'm not wrong about the information giving."

Weisselberg's CNN interview comes less than a week after she spoke out about Trump and admitted that she believes her ex-father-in-law will flip on Trump under pressure. Over the last several weeks, Weisselberg has made headlines for her decision to cooperate with prosecutors in the pending investigations into the Trump Organization.

"The amount of power given to a president — I just think it's irresponsible to give somebody who is self-serving and narcissistic that much power when it's inevitably always to benefit themselves," she said.

When asked why she made the decision to cooperate with prosecutors, Weisselberg noted that it was because "it's so horrifying that Donald Trump could be president again, knowing what I know."
