Donald Trump Jr. apparently believes his father, former President Donald Trump could help resolve the ongoing chaos in Ukraine as a result of the Russian invasion. However, Twitter users have made it very clear they believe otherwise.
According to HuffPost, Trump Jr.'s proposed plan of action quickly backfired when Twitter users highlighted its flaws. On Tuesday, March 15, Trump Jr., tweeted to share his disapproval of President Joe Biden's upcoming trip to Belgium as he claimed it “will only embolden our enemies further.”
"Sending Biden to Europe for 'High Stakes' NATO talks will only embolden our enemies further," Trump Jr. tweeted, adding, "If you want to get something done right send Trump."
Almost immediately after Trump Jr. shared the tweet he was met with backlash from Twitter users who strongly disagreed with him and oppose the idea of his father representing the United States anywhere in any capacity. Some users also reminded Trump Jr. of his father's admiration of Russian President Vladamir Putin. One wrote, "If you want to get something done right (for Putin) send Trump since what we actually want is something done well for America, we're sending Biden."
Another user wrote, "Of all the stupid ideas you’ve had, and there have been many, this is by far the dumbest. #DumbDonJr"
"I haven't seen big daddy Donald Trump volunteering to meet with Putin and Zelensky on the Russia/Ukraine border to mediate between them," another user added. "His bone spurs must be acting up again."
"Your stupid father was busy dismantling and undermining NATO, much to Putin's delight," one Twitter user wrote. "All of our European allies think he is a dangerous idiot, and they are absolutely right. Biden is uniting them. This is a serious situation, no time for a showboating halfwit like Donald."
