MSNBC News' Ari Melber recently delivered a stinging rebuke of U.S. Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas following the latest reports about more lavish gifts he and his wife, Ginni Thomas, received from wealthy donors.

According to HuffPost, Melber made his remarks on Thursday, May 4. During his evening segment, he leveled a question directly at Thomas asking, “Do you think you’re above the law? Do you think you will get away with this forever?”

Melber also aired a contradictory clip that featured Thomas downplaying his lifestyle preferences.

“I come from regular stock, and I prefer that ― I prefer being around that,” Thomas said.

Melber fired back with a blistering response to the justice's remarks saying, “No you don’t,”

"Why were you lying about it?" Melber asked. "Were you feeling guilty? Were you also lying to your colleagues on the Supreme Court?”

The latest development comes as Thomas continues to face scrutiny for the previous controversy surrounding questionable gifts he received from billionaire businessman Harlan Crow.

A bombshell report published by ProPublica detailed Crow's lavish gifts to Thomas which included travel on private jets, luxury getaways, and more.

"ProPublica reported that Crow also paid the $6,000-a-month tuition bill for Thomas’ grandnephew Mark Martin to attend a private boarding school in Georgia," according to HuffPost.

"Then, The Washington Post reported that conservative judicial activist Leonard Leo paid Ginni Thomas tens of thousands of dollars in consulting fees but wanted her name left off the paperwork," the report adds.

The Washington Post also noted that Leo emphasized that there should be "No mention of Ginni, of course.”
