Trump campaign mixes up Michigan and Minnesota locations in affidavit alleging voter fraud

The Trump campaign is now facing another embarrassment in its post-election legal battle. An affidavit alleging voter fraud confuses two states starting with the letter "M".

As part of a larger affidavit filed by Trump supporter and conservative attorney L. Lin Wood, the lawsuit focuses on undermining the results of the election by highlighting instances of voting discrepancies and alleged issues with the Dominion Voting Systems in Georgia, according to USA Today.

Trump, his allies, supporters, and legal teams have circulated conspiracy theories centered on unfounded claims that voting machines had taken votes away from President Donald Trump. However, there is no evidence to support these claims. However, the main flaw in the affidavit focused on problems in other states as opposed to the state at the center of their lawsuit.

To point out the supposed problems with Dominion Voting Systems in Georgia, the affidavit, filed as analysis from Texas resident and cybersecurity expert Russell Ramsland, was intended to show supposed errors in Michigan, as both states use Dominion Voting Systems to tabulate election results.

To provide so-called evidence to back this claims, the affidavit also noted problems in other states like Michigan and Minnesota. However, it listed "Albertville, Houston, Monticello, Runeberg, Lake Lillian, Brownsville, Wolf Lake, Height of Land, Detroit Lakes, Frazee, and Kandiyoh.

The problem is that the townships listed in the Ramsland affidavit are actually located Minnesota, not Michigan. Ramsland noted a number of "statistical anomalies and red flags" he claimed proved "that election results have been manipulated within the Dominion/Premier system in Michigan."

The latest lawsuit in Georgia is one of several the Trump campaign filed that have ultimately been dismissed.
