Twenty thirteen was supposed to be the year for comprehensive immigration reform. Although we did see a bipartisan bill pass through the Senate, it never made its way through the House. Democrats blamed Republicans. Meanwhile Obama’s administration continues to deport more than 1,000 people per day. But [last] year was also a vibrant one for activists who put their bodies on the lines, infiltrating detention centers and halting deportation buses.
