'God tier trolling': Twitter highly amused by DeSantis' selfie holding snowflake 'gift' that says 'fascist'

Florida Governor Ron Desantis was welcomed with open arms during his recent Davenport, Iowa visit, even receiving gifts from some political adversaries.

The potential presidential hopeful posed for a selfie, holding a picture of a snowflake, while standing next to the creator of the art. However, unbeknownst to the governor, the snowflake picture contained a camouflaged message: "Fascist."

@MidlifeMisfit tweeted the selfie, saying, "My friend makes snowflakes to give to politicians who come to Iowa - there are special messages for odious Republicans- please look at the snowflake carefully."

Although @MidlifeMisfit's photo has since been deleted, other Twitter users managed to share the picture, noting the artist's impeccable trolling abilities.

Washington Post audio producer Steven Goffman noted via Twitter Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds, a Republican, also received a snowflake picture. She, too, took a selfie holding her new artwork.

Goffman tweeted, "At a Republican political rally in Davenport, Iowa today someone gave @GovRonDeSantis and @IAGovernor Kim Reynolds a handmade 'snowflake' with the word 'Fascist' secretly embedded in it."

Newsweek reports recently elected Rep. Maxwell Alejandro Frost (D-FL) said earlier this month, "DeSantis' policies targeting Black, transgender and LGBTQ people smacked of 'fascism.'"
