Watch: Tucker Carlson urges Republicans to embrace racist conspiracy theory as central campaign theme

Fox News' Tucker Carlson believes Republican lawmakers should be amplifying the “great replacement” conspiracy theory as a key campaign focal point for the upcoming midterm elections.

On Thursday, August 18, Carlson criticized Republicans lawmakers and candidates for placing an emphasis on inflation as opposed to immigration for their central campaign message.

As the chyron displayed the words “GOP candidates should be focused on three issues” on the screen, the primetime host acknowledged the problem Americans are facing due to inflation.

However, he also argued: "But changing the population of the United States, allowing people to be murdered in the street, letting drug addicts live on the sidewalk and sending them crack pipes? That will change everything forever.”

Carlson was referred to the theory he's focused on for quite some time alleging Democratic lawmakers are working to change the United States' demographic landscape "by intentionally replacing white Christians with immigrants, people of color and non-Christians," HuffPost reports.

The Fox News host's remarks come shortly after he denied his previous claims about the replacement conspiracy theory following a series of mass shootings that occurred in areas across the United States including the Buffalo, N.Y., supermarket shootings.

At the time, Carlson implied that he was unfamiliar with the conspiracy theory.

However, two months after that denial, Carlson returned his focus to embracing the theory, telling his viewers, “The great replacement? Yeah, it’s not a conspiracy theory. It’s [Democrats’] electoral strategy.”
