Morning Joe mocks 'weak' GOP for destroying their own party and 'rotting their souls'

MS NOW host Joe Joe Scarborough, a former Florida lawmaker, thinks that the current iteration of the Republican Party seems so intent on "owning" the libs that they do so at their own peril.

Posting on X Friday, Scarborough disagreed with Gov. Gavin Newsom's (D-Calf.) press office account, which has been used over the past year to needle the president.

Trump posted an "AI Slop" video spinning conspiracy theories about voting to justify making it more difficult for Americans to cast a ballot. The end of the video contains a clip of former President Barack Obama, the only ever Black president, depicted as a monkey, an oft-used racist trope.

"Disgusting behavior by the President. Every single Republican must denounce this. Now," said Newsom's staff on X.

Scarborough announced that Republicans simply don't care.

"They won’t," he wrote on X. "To their own detriment. They think he’s owning the libs, when all they’re doing is destroying their party, ruining their reputations, and rotting their souls. Pity them. They are so weak."
