Former President Donald Trump recently sounded off with a harsh opinion of Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) in a late night social media rant.
On Wednesday, March 22, the former president took to his social media network Truth Social where he re-shared a video posted by another user who uses the handle “Yoshi The Patriot."
The video featured a claim that accused the Florida governor of using a 100-year-old man as a COVID-19 vaccination "guinea pig."
“Ron DeSoros used a 100-year-old WW2 veteran as a Guinea pig on live TV,” Yoshi said in reference to the video clip. “The veteran, Henry Sayler, died 4 months later. But sure, DeSantis would have fired [Dr. Anthony] Fauci.”
The remarks about Fauci come just days after DeSantis claimed he would have fired him long ago.
Weighing in on the video, Trump wrote, “This is a classic. So much for Ron and anti-vax. Besides, he got the vaccine and booster, just doesn’t talk about it. He also closed up Florida, and its beaches.”
According to Mediaite, the former president also posted a screenshot from a user who referred to DeSantis as "'Ron DeSoros,' in a nod to George Soros, the billionaire donor to liberal causes."
The news outlet also reported, "Soros is a regular whipping post for conservatives, who say he wields immense power within the Democratic Party and in global affairs."
Over the last several months, Trump himself has referred to DeSantis by a number of different nicknames including “Ron DeSanctimonious" and "Meatball Ron."
