Democrats on the House Oversight and Accountability Committee investigating the federal government's handling of the scandal surrounding late convicted sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein released a statement saying they got more documents that name three very close President Donald Trump associates, reports NOTUS Congress reporter Daniella Diaz on X.
Released Thursday night, an anonymous Oversight committee aide told Politico that “[T]he Epstein estate has produced unredacted calendars, call logs, and cash ledgers to the Oversight Committee,” said an Oversight committee aide, granted anonymity to speak freely about the panel’s ongoing investigation into the Epstein case. “We intend to make records public once victims’ names are redacted.”
The Democrats name names in a statement released as reported by Diaz, naming far-right Silicon Valley billionaire and Trump supporter Peter Thiel, former Trump White House chief strategist Steve Bannon, and on-and-off-again Trump supporter and mogul Elon Musk.
In July 2025, Musk claimed on X that Bannon was among the figures mentioned in the confidential "Epstein files" and the Democrats' statement Friday corroborates that claim.
"Within documents of Epstein’s schedule, there is evidence that Thiel and Bannon had scheduled meetings with Epstein, as well as evidence of a pending trip by Elon Musk to Epstein’s island," the statement reads.
A Bloomberg review of over 18,000 emails Epstein sent to friends and associates also revealed that former Trump impeachment attorney and former Epstein attorney Alan Dershowitz disparaged the late sex offender's victims.
Also named in the Democrats' Oversight memo released Friday: disgraced member of the royal family, Prince Andrew.
"Prince Andrew is listed as a passenger on Epstein’s aircraft, with financial disclosures providing possible evidence of payments from Epstein to masseuses on behalf of an individual identified as 'Andrew,'" the memo states.
