'We have to talk about guns': Fox News contributor delivers torching rebuke of firearms in the US
11 April 2023
A Fox News contributor recently sounded the alarm on the need for stricter gun laws in the United States after yet another mass shooting rocked the nation.
On Monday, April 10, a 25-year-old Old National Bank employee in downtown Louisville, Ky., entered his place of employment with an AR-15 and opened fire. The shooting left five victims dead and another 8 injured. It occured just two weeks after the mass school shooting in Nashville, Tennessee.
According to HuffPost, Ted Williams —a current defense attorney and former U.S. special agent— shared his concerns about America's gun laws as he appealed to the news network's audience about the importance of having a real talk about firearms.
“The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results,” Williams said to Fox News' Neil Cavuto.
“Just two weeks ago, I stood in front of a camera when you had some kids, some babies, shot in Nashville, Tennessee, with a person who, by the way, had an AR-15,” Williams said.
He continued, “And from what we’ve been told here, Neil, this individual had that same kind of a weapon. And when you look at mental illness ... and that weapon, that’s a dangerous concoction, and we’ve got to do something in this society.”
Williams added that he is "sick and tired” of hearing daunting reports about tragic school shootings.

“We have to talk about guns," he said. "AR-15s are killing our babies and our citizens in this country, and we’ve got to do something about it.”
