Taxpayer-Funded School Fires Teacher For Being Gay, Citing "Awesome God" As Inspiration

Aloma Methodist Early Childhood Learning Center has fired Jaclyn Pfeiffer for her "lifestyle choice" of being a lesbian. The school director of the Winter Park, Florida establishment called Pfeiffer to her office after hearing rumors that she was gay. When Pfeiffer confirmed that she had a girlfriend, the director told her that she was living a life of sin. Days later, she was fired.

School director Barbara Twachtman sent a letter to parents explaining that Pfeiffer had been let go for, "personal reasons." “I am very sad that she is leaving," wrote Twachman, "I know we serve an awesome God and that He has great things for Jaci as well as great things for our school.”

The letter also instructed parents to refrain from complaining about the termination. Twachtman informed them that, "if you are relaxed and don’t show your children any anxiety about it, they will not feel anxious."

There's a law in the county that prohibits discriminating against people for their sexual orientation, but religious institutions are exempt from it. The school receives $2,442 in taxpayer money for every student. During summer sessions they take in $2,080 a kid.
