Watch: House Republican spins conspiracy theory about the classified documents from Joe Biden's old office

Rep. Ronny Jackson (R-Texas) is spinning a bizarre conspiracy theory about the classified documents involving President Joe Biden.

Jackson believes Democratic leaders are pushing the issue to sabotage the president. According to Jackson, Democrats may be trying to nudge Biden to resign so that he does not run for re-election in 2024. During a recent appearance on Newsmax, Jackson shared his theory.

"Thing that could be happening here, Jen, is that I've been saying for a long time that the Democrats are going to have to figure out a way to get rid of Joe Biden," Jackson said.

"They don't want this man to run for president again. He's a recipe for disaster in the next presidential election. So I think, you know, a lot of people thought it would be a cognitive issue. I thought so as well. But I thought, well, maybe they won't go down there because that's admitting defeat, that they put this cognitively incompetent man in a position like the President of the United States."

Like many other Republican lawmakers, Jackson also referenced the debacle involving Hunter Biden to add to his speculation.

"I said all along, I thought maybe they would let the Hunter Biden thing blow up a little bit, but maybe this is what they're doing. Maybe this is the first shot that they're going to fire to try to get him in a position where he ultimately has to resign or at least has to decide that he's not going to run again. Something's going on here. A lot of stuff has been exposed."=

Early Thursday afternoon, Attorney General Merrick Garland appointed a special counsel, Robert Hur, to investigate the documents found in Biden's old office. Biden has not been accused of wrongdoing by the Department of Justice.
