'Unclear what happened': Pelosi sparks outcry over 'vague' statement on 'injury'

During a visit to Luxembourg, former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-California) — according to spokesman Ian Krager — "sustained an injury" and "was admitted to the hospital for evaluation."
Krager, in a statement, noted that Pelosi was visiting Luxembourg, for the 80th anniversary of the Battle of the Bulge.
"Speaker Emerita Pelosi is currently receiving excellent treatment from doctors and medical professionals," Krager said.

HuffPost's Jennifer Bendery, in a December 13 tweet, wanted more details about the nature of Pelosi's injury.
Bendery posted, "This is…. very vague."
The HuffPost writer wasn't the only journalist who said that Krager needed to provide more details.
On CNN, Lauren Fox also said the statement was "vague," noting that it was "unclear exactly what happened."
