'Not productive': MTG’s 'unprovoked, unwarned and unsubstantiated attacks' causing GOP to 'cut ties'

A "Trumpworld operative" recently called United States Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene ex-President Donald Trump's "mouthpiece," as well as his "most loyal soldier in Congress, according to The Daily Beast's Zachary Petrizzo.

However, Petrizzo pointed out that 23 House Republicans' decision to part ways with Greene after she recently proposed a resolution to censure U.S. Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) over her "pro-Palestine rhetoric," further proves that "GOP members are neither fearing nor loving" the Georgia lawmaker.

The news outlet asked U.S. Rep. Byron Donalds (R-FL) whether "he thought Greene was losing friends in Congress," to which he replied, "Yeah. Is she concerned about that? I don't think so. The airing of grievances by Twitter, or by X, is just not productive. When you do it through social media, it just doesn't work."

Donalds was referring to Greene's criticism of colleague U.S. Rep. Chip Roy (R-TX) earlier this month via an X (formerly Twitter) post, in which she wrote, "You voted to kick me out of the freedom caucus, but keep CNN wannabe Ken Buck and vaping groping Lauren Boebert and you voted with the Democrats to protect Terrorist Tlaib. You hate Trump, certified Biden's election and could care less about J6 defendants being persecuted."

When Roy shot back at Greene in an interview with The Hill saying, "Tell her to focus on chasing so-called Jewish space lasers if she wishes to spend her time on such matters," the Georgia congresswoman tweeted, "Oh shut up Colonel Sanders, you’re not even from Texas, more like the DMV."

Referring to Greene, a Republican House member told the Beast, "She's creating her own enemies through unprovoked, unwarned and unsubstantiated attacks. Embarrassing herself through launching attacks she later has to retract due to their inaccuracies. There is no one I have heard from, dozens of members, who are happy with her, that trust her [or] confide in her. She's continually seeking attention, building herself up while tearing others down. I have cut ties completely."

U.S. Rep. Troy Nehls told the news outlet Greene's attacks are "childish in many ways."

Nehls added, "Does he look like Colonel Sanders? I don't know how beneficial that is to start attacking other conservatives."
