'Inevitable': Mick Mulvaney offers grim prediction about Trump's pending indictment

The former acting White House chief of state under the Trump administration has offered his take on the possibility of the former president being indicted by the Manhattan District Attorney's office.

According to Mediaite, Mick Mulvaney has a relatively grim prediction about what lies ahead for former President Donald Trump.

During an appearance on CNN, Mulvaney spoke with news anchor Kaitlan Collins where he discussed the legal circumstances surrounding the hush payments Trump's former attorney Michael Cohen paid to adult film star Stormy Daniels.

"I think it's one of those rare cases where the extreme left in this country and the extreme right want the same thing, which is they want Donald Trump to be arrested," Mulvaney said.

At one point during the discussion, Collins asked Mulvaney to weigh in with his take on the possibility of Trump being indicted.

"Do you think it's inevitable that Trump is going to be indicted?" Collins asked.

"I do," Mulvaney said. "I think the political pressure is such, I think the timing is such, the statute of limitations for this case runs in May. I do think he's going to be indicted. I don't understand the arrest part, whether or not he'll surrender himself, whether or not they'll require him to surrender himself, whether or not they'll make any special accommodation for him because he is the former president of the United States."
