John Fetterman releases new ad likening Mehmet Oz to quack 'Simpsons' physician Doctor Nick Riviera

Pennsylvania Lieutenant Governor and Democratic United States Senate candidate John Fetterman released a new campaign ad on Monday afternoon likening Republican Senate nominee Doctor Mehmet Oz to quack Doctor Nick Riviera from The Simpsons.

The 73-second spot, which was shared on Twitter, splices scenes of "Hi, everybody" Riviera and Oz hawking the same exact unfounded cures for a variety of medical ailments.

"Before there was Dr. Oz, there was Dr. Nick," Fetterman tweeted along with the video montage. "They say The Simpsons always predict the future – and once again, they nailed it."

The mashup included supplements for rapid weight loss, nonsensical methods of trimming body fat, supposed "miracle" solutions to aging, and both real and fictional media reports of each physician's ill-begotten wealth.
