NYT's Maggie Haberman sheds light on Trump Org employees' reactions to his bombshell indictment

As details about former President Donald Trump's bombshell indictment began to circulate, one New York Times reporter opted to offer a different perspective: a detailed report about Trump Organization employees' reactions to the former president's indictment.

On Friday, March 31, NTY reporter and White House correspondent Maggie Haberman shed light on the employees' brutal take on the possibility of Trump being held accountable for his actions.

During an appearance on CNN, Haberman —also an analyst for the news network— admitted that current and former Trump Organization employees are quietly rejoicing behind closed doors.

“They were texting me, and there is a long trail of people who feel burned, in one way or another, by Donald Trump,” said Haberman.

“We certainly saw that in the White House. This was a pattern that existed for decades in the Trump Organization,” she continued. “And the number of people I heard from yesterday who worked for his company who were really happy, one person texted with the words, ‘Wonderful news.’”

She added, “That really sort of tells you something about where these folks’ heads are."

Haberman's remarks follow a string of reports about the highly publicized indictment. Several days ago, Trump shined a spotlight on the hush payments investigation being conducted by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg's office. In a fiery rant on his Truth Social platform, Trump called for his supporters to push back against the indictment which he suggested is politically motivated.
