U.S. District Court Judge Aileen Cannon, a Donald Trump appointee, will likely rule against one of the former president's requests, a court watcher predicted.

Lawfare correspondent Anna Bower reported her conclusion following a hearing in Florida on Tuesday.

"Judge Cannon appears poised to reject one of Trump's challenges to the validity of the warrant that authorized FBI search of Mar-a-Lago in 2022," Bower wrote on X (formerly Twitter). "During a hearing today in Ft. Pierce, Cannon expressed skepticism about Trump's claims that the search was 'unconstitutional.'"

Bower said Cannon "grew frustrated" with Trump's attorney Emil Bove at the end of the hearing.

"She reminded Bove that the relevant legal question at issue is whether the warrant is sufficiently particularized," a second postadded.

"It seems like it is," Cannon reportedly told Bove.

Trump's legal team has asked Cannon to exclude specific evidence because they said Trump's rights were violated with the 2022 warrant to search his Mar-a-Lago estate.

Cannon did not rule from the bench or set a date for a ruling.
