MSNBC anchor Andrea Mitchell did not mask her disapproval of former U.S. National Security Advisor John Bolton's remarks on Former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley (R).
According to HuffPost, Bolton made his remarks on Wednesday, February 15 during his appearance on NBC News' “Meet the Press Now.” At the time, Bolton described Haley as being “light as a feather.”
Mitchell wasted no time pushing back to challenge Bolton on his remarks asking, “Would you be saying that about a man?”

The news outlet notes that Bolton managed to dodge by steering the conversation toward Haley's campaign ad reference to Jeane Kirkpatrick, who also served as former U.S. ambassador to the United Nations under former President Ronald Reagan's administration.
“I knew Jeane Kirkpatrick, and Nikki Haley is no Jeane Kirkpatrick,” said Bolton.
“Well, I knew Jeane Kirkpatrick also, but Nikki Haley is running as a former governor, as someone who has been elected, who has faced some tough issues in South Carolina as well as being U.N. ambassador,” Mitchell said. “I’m just wondering if you’re judging her in a different way based on gender?”
“Of course not,” said Bolton said as he continued to criticize the Republican candidate.
