Watch: Idaho Lt. Gov. abruptly shuts down press conference after being grilled for ties to white nationalists

Footage has emerged from an intense interview featuring Idaho Lt. Gov. Jeannie McGeachin (R). In fact, the interview, which took place on Feb. 28, was so intense, the top-ranking Republican lawmaker abruptly ended it.

According to HuffPost, McGeachin was questioned by KTVB-TV's Brian Holmes in reference to her video appearance at the America First Political Action Conference (AFPAC) that was held in Orlando, Fla. Since the event was hosted by Nick Fuentes, a known white nationalist and anti-semitic podcaster, McGeachin was asked about her affiliation with him.

“Are you familiar with who puts this event on? Like Nick Fuentes?” Holmes asked.

“I don’t, I don’t know who he is. I don’t. I’ve never met him. I don’t know who he is,” McGeachin replied.

“Did you not look into it before you decided to say OK? Like to find out? I mean, his name is on it,” Holmes pressed.

Although Holmes repeatedly pressed McGeachin, she continued to pivot and avoid directly answering the question. Then, Holmes asked a more direct question. Per HuffPost, Holmes asked McGeachin if she would have accepted the offer to speak if she had known Fuentes' background.

To that, she said, “Well, again, this movement is so much bigger than one individual. Who cares what Nick Fuentes has to say? Who cares? There’s thousands and thousands of young conservatives all across the country that are very concerned about what’s happening to our country.”

After that, McGeachin abruptly shut the interview down. The questioning from Holmes came just days after McGeachin's speech.

At the time, McGeachin, according to The Daily Beast, "told attendees she would fight to 'make Idaho great again' and said she needed 'freedom fighters all over this country that are willing to stand up and fight,' even if it meant fighting among Republican ranks, because too many 'don’t exhibit the courage today.'"
