Within hours of the Democratic Coalition asking Twitter users to use #LindseyGrahamResign in tweets, calls for the South Carolina Republican senator to step down became the top trend on the social media platform.

Graham — a former military Judge Advocate General — has been under fire for advising Donald Trump Jr. to ignore a Congressional subpoena, which has led many to accuse the senator of advocating breaking the law.

As one Twitter user put it, “Lindsey’s moral compass was buried with John McCain. “
