Assistant Attorney General Harmeet Dhillon is lashing out at the followers of President Donald Trump, calling them the "r-word" and demanding they keep quiet about her cases.
National security analyst Marcy Wheeler noticed the unusual rant against conservatives from a top DOJ official who oversees the agency protecting the civil rights of disabled Americans, among others.
Dhillon took to X on Sunday night to respond to MAGA followers she said are spreading lies because they are either dumb or part of the attacks on conservatives like her.
It began with MAGA influencer and commentator David Freeman (a.k.a. Gunther Eagleman), who begged Attorney General Pam Bondi not to allow the statute of limitations expire without going after the officials on the House Select Committee investigating the Jan. 6 attacks. Dhillon responded, telling him he has no idea what he's talking about.
"Trump/Bondi DOJ is working to bring to justice those who weaponized January 6th, 2021. No statute of limitations will hinder DOJ's efforts to bring justice to those who weaponized persecution of American citizens," claimed Dhillon. "January 6th 2026 is NOT a deadline for DOJ to bring prosecutions."
"My boss @AGPamBondi works around the clock to bring justice for all Americans! Don’t be a hater and a simp for weaponized online disinformation!!" Dhillon added.
"This [hat] is an hour behind schedule thanks to influencer r——," she then said with a photo of a partially-knitted cap.
"My goodness… are you people really gonna make me put down my knitting and explain Statutes of Limitation to you?! FFS," she added.
"'Conservative' influencers, if you think you are 'keeping the pressure on' or 'winning' by spreading bulls—— attacks on @realDonaldTrump's hand-picked [C]abinet, you are NOT ... Learn an honest profession."
Wheeler asked some of the GOP members of the U.S. Senate, "do you think it is appropriate — legal, even — for the AAG in charge protecting the Civil Rights of disabled Americans to try to silence right wing speech by using the r-word? Are there ANY adults left in the GOP? Or even civil human beings?"
She also asked Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) "I know you take protecting far right wing speech from government attack very seriously, so I'm wondering when you will impeach Harmeet for jawboning conservative influencers for their 1A speech?"
Tami Marler, a former Miss Oklahoma, who is now a journalist, suggested on X, "The Trump administration could use a communications 101 course. The one where you're taught to not alienate the base you DESPERATELY NEED to keep from getting decimated in the midterms and to keep Trump from being impeached AND removed. Keep calling ardent but disillusioned supporters idiots and other childish names. See where that gets you in November."
