Sean Hannity hit a breaking point on Monday after CNN Money revealed the Fox News anchor would no longer be receiving the prestigious Media Research Center's William F. Buckley Award for Media Excellence in September. 

"Finally, fighting back," he announced after playing clips of recent CNN interviews with White House officials, including Kellyanne Conway, Anthony Scaramucci and Sebastian Gorka, whom he praised for shining "a bright light on these dark corners of the fake news industry." 

"And now, thanks to social media," he added. "You can too."

"For example," he suggested. "You can tell fake news Jake Tapper exactly what you think of his interview with [White House Communications Director] Anthony Scaramucci, you can do it on Twitter... I think you will have a positive input." 

But the irony of a known conspiracist opining fake news purveyors was hardly lost on his viewers:
