The brother of convicted child predator Jeffrey Epstein believes President Donald Trump's administration is intentionally concealing important details surrounding his brother's death in federal prison in 2019.
Mark Epstein — Jeffrey's younger brother — recently joined former CNN host Jim Acosta for an interview on Acosta's show on the Substack platform, in which he assailed the Trump administration for what he alleged is a cover-up of his brother's death during Trump's first presidency. While the official cause of death was suicide by hanging, Mark Epstein told Acosta that the pathologist he selected to be present at his brother's autopsy said the injuries were more consistent with homicide than suicide.
"My major concern is the circumstances surrounding my brother's, what I now refer to as his murder," Mark Epstein said Monday. "I used to say his death, but ever since he died, the government has been covering things up, not giving information."

"And it begs the question: If this purely was a suicide, why are they being so secretive? And why am I getting the runaround?" He added.
Acosta mentioned interviewing both Miami Herald investigative journalist Julie Brown and journalist Tara Palmieri about Jeffrey Epstein's death in federal custody, telling Mark Epstein that both reporters also doubted the conclusion that the convicted pedophile's death was a suicide. According to Mark Epstein, Jeffrey Epstein's initial death certificate said his cause of death was "pending further investigation," which was promptly changed to "suicide" by chief medical examiner Barbara Sampson even though Mark Epstein maintains she "never saw the body."
"What is she basing that conclusion on?" Mark Epstein said. "And she won't speak to anybody about that. It's like, why? If this was a suicide, why the secrecy?"
Acosta's interview with Mark Epstein comes as top Trump administration officials like Attorney General Pam Bondi, FBI Director Kash Patel and FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino have all been accused by various MAGA-aligned influencers of supposedly covering up the circumstances surrounding Jeffrey Epstein's death while he was awaiting trial. Epstein's associate, Ghislaine Maxwell, is currently serving a 20-year prison sentence for procuring young girls for Epstein. One prevalent conspiracy theory posits that Jeffrey Epstein maintained a "list" of rich and powerful people who committed crimes with him, though Bondi insists that no such list exists.
