Debbie Wasserman Schultz torches Fox News analyst with brutal lesson on the definition of 'legal analysis'

Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-Fla.) did not hold back when she interrogated a Fox News legal analyst for offering “pure conjecture” during an appearance before the U.S. House of Representatives' newly established committee for the Weaponization of the Federal Government.

On Thursday, February 9, Fox News' Jonathan Turley, appeared before the committee as a witness called by Republican lawmakers. During his appearance, he discussed the so-called "Twitter files," which spawned from Twitter CEO Elon Musk sharing intel with journalists.

However, Wasserman Schultz appeared unsure about Turley actually having “unique knowledge” about the social media platform.

“Do you have any formal relationship with the company?” she asked.

“No, I just have an account,” replied Turley, to which, Schultz said, “So essentially your responses to the questions here today were your own opinion and pure conjecture.”

But despite Turley's remarks, Schultz pushed back for more clarity saying, “You said that you don’t have any specific or unique knowledge of Twitter, but you spoke as if you did. ... And so this is only just your opinion, would you say, as a Twitter account user?”

“No, I come to give legal analysis based on facts that are in the public domain,” Turley said.

Refusing to back down, Schultz offered Turley a harsh lesson on the real meaning of "legal analysis specifying that it is “another word for ‘opinion.'”
