DREAMING OF DEATHDEAR SUZ: My dream last night woke me up and it really bothered me. I was dreaming I was walking in snow at night. There is nothing but snow and I am walking with an unknown companion. It is cold and we keep walking. It seems important that we find something but there is just snow. I finally say, "We might die if we stay out here and it gets any colder." I am not feeling upset by this, just stating a fact. I think I was feeling peaceful but concerned that we had not gotten to our destination. We finally come to a shack. We walk in and I see a car out the window of the shack. I suddenly feel like now we can get where were going. I turn excitedly to my companion and she is no longer there. I feel like I really need to get away in this car! I run out to the car and the driver of the car is walking away. I ask if I may have a ride and he says "yes." I feel relieved and get into the car. Once I get into the car, I realize I smell like death and have a gray appearance. I am very nervous and alarmed. I think I am dead. I think that this man will not take me to my destination because I smell so bad. I plead with him to take me and then I wake up. Upon awakening, I really gave myself a once over because I was sure I had died.DEAR DREAMER: Extreme warmth or cold is usually symbolic of shedding old identities or fixed and static pressures. Since you walk in snow, which is a symbol of purity, you may feel you are lost in your own ideology. Indeed, your dream reveals aspects of your mind's curiosity over death and the afterlife.Throughout the dream, you feel "stuck" and unable to move forward or escape your plight. You search endlessly to reach your unknown destination. The end of your dream is fascinating because smell and odor take over. This could represent shame or vulnerability over an issue in your life. Yet, the real meaning behind your dream is a search for emotional warmth and change. Your snow makes you feel frozen in life. Seek out deeper meaning in your issues with vulnerability and identity. You are voyaging into new areas of freedom. Good luck to you!Keep Dreaming! SUZPREGNANTDEAR SUZ: I am getting a divorce from my husband of four years. He is with someone new and I too am with someone new. I have been seeing my "new friend" for almost one year and have had sex with him. My husband and I have not been together sexually for almost six months. I have had a pregnancy test done and I am not pregnant.I keep having this same dream repeatedly. I am screaming when the dream begins. I feel pain in my stomach. Then, my boyfriend is smiling at me and is saying, "you guys are just fine." Then I hear a voice I have never heard before telling me to "push." Then I hear a baby cry, and then the strange voice says, "I think a see another head." He tells me again to push again. Then I hear two babies crying and they hand one baby to my boyfriend and hand me the other baby. When I look down at the newborn baby it looks like my boyfriend and my eyes. I look at the baby my boyfriend is holding and it looks like the other baby but it is a girl and the one I am holding is a boy. We (my boyfriend and myself) want me to be pregnant by the way!DEAR DREAMER: Your dream is a simple illustration of unfulfilled desires. You mention you are trying to have a child with your new friend. Your previous marriage ended which brought about this new relationship. I wondered what type of regrets you had about your husband and your past. Often dreams of pregnancy reveal the dreamer's search for a new outlook. Though they can portend an oncoming arrival, more often they reveal the embarkation of a journey in the dreamer's life. Your dream is about your new marriage and new emotional vista with your future husband. If you have twins, be sure to let me know!Keep Dreaming! SUZWhat have you been dreaming lately?
