Bomb threat at Miami courthouse forces press and Trump supporters to move before arraignment

UPDATE: MSNBC's Yasmin Vossoughian showed footage of the "device" that officers were concerned about outside of the courthouse.

"I saw a picture of the suspicious device that we have seen, and they have called in the bomb squad to investigate this suspicious device. We are being told this by police officers along with our own security officials on the ground," she explained. "Again, a suspicious device was found near the area in which we were in front of the courthouse. The bomb squad is being called in to sweep the area and investigate the suspicious device, and as soon as that area is cleared, we can resume activities back in that area. From there, we can also talk about the increased security presence overall that we have been seeing since I arrived here a couple of hours ago."

The device looked like a television screen strapped to a post with a message on it that read "F--k The Communist Controlled News Media."

Security experts on MSNBC also explained that keeping the area secure is under the preview of the U.S. Marshal's service and that they were the ones that decided not to use any barriers for crowd control and, instead, use police tape.

A federal building is considered a "hard target" by law enforcement for terrorism purposes.

Former President Donald Trump is set to turn himself over to police Tuesday, where he'll be arraigned in a Miami courthouse on 37 indictment counts involving the retention of classified documents in his Mar-a-Lago home.

But ahead of his arrival, a bomb threat was called into the courthouse sending everyone scrambling.

MSNBC's Yasmin Vossoughian explained that press was being forced away from the scene shortly before 11 a.m. Tuesday.

WPBF reporter Terri Parker took a video of the moment the press was pushed away from the building.

Vossoughian explained that the courthouse was sending bomb-sniffing dogs through the building and there was little information available about when people will be allowed back inside. After the bomb threat was announced, Trump's motorcade of black SUVs was shown rolling out of his club on its way to the courthouse.

The bomb squad was seen searching electronics along the sidewalks outside of the courthouse.
